Specialised Geo uses rockfall meshing for projects where rockfall barriers or other rockfall protection methods are not appropriate for the site or the geological conditions. Rockfall meshing is a process where mesh drapes are secured to surfaces preventing rocks and debris from falling onto structures and groundwork below. Specialised Geo is experienced in applying active and passive rockfall meshing in a broad range of commercial and residential circumstances. We use high quality Maccaferri* rockfall netting to ensure the highest installation standards.
Specialised Geo applies rockfall meshing in a range of situations where other rockfall protection methods are inappropriate or cost prohibitive. Rockfall meshing is appropriate for securing angled surfaces in road, rail and residential projects. It can be applied quickly, safely and efficiently, taking pressure off deadlines for large and small projects.
Sites that may require the use of rockfall meshing include:
• Road embankments
• Rail embankments
• Light rail corridors
• Retaining walls.
Rockfall meshing is one of the many services in rockfall protection provided by Specialised Geo. Contact us to find out how rockfall meshing can be applied to your next building or construction project.
*Maccaferri rockfall netting mesh is manufactured from double twist woven steel wire mesh. It is strong enough to withstand the force of falling rocks and will not unravel if the wires break.
