Aside from the race, one of the highlights of the event was learning about Cystic Fibrosis Australia and what they do. Cystic Fibrosis Australia is an organisation that provides support and services to people with Cystic Fibrosis.
The race day was also a day of fun and relaxation to the Specialised Geo team and its guests that included Mathew Verschelden and partner Rebecca. Mat is Regional Sales Manager of Dywidag Systems International-Newcastle, which is one of Specialised Geo’s suppliers.
The team participated in events like the lucky door prize, best hat and best dressed and silent auction.
The team had a beautiful 3 course meal and champagne while watching the races. The last race saw Rachel, Leigh, Mitch, Danielle and Kellie Puxty attend the champions’ lounge, where they had nibblies and a drink with the owners of the horse.
